Congratulations to the winners of our Fall 2018 photo contest!

1st Place

Side-Striped Chameleon, Kampala, Uganda. This little guy showed up in our yard in Uganda one day. He was so beautiful and so still it made it very easy to do a photo shoot with him. He also had something in his eye and his eye was closed shut. I performed a little procedure and was able to fix it before releasing him back to the wild (aka our yard). Photo by Brina Bunt.

2nd Place

African Giant Praying Mantis. I raise nymph praying mantis here at Embassy Malabo. When I find a young mantis, I raise them in my garden. They master their hunting skills and get food treats from me. Besides bugs, they love honey, peanut butter and overripe bananas! The mantis in this photo is “Jerome”. He sways back & forth when he sees honey on a stick! 3rd Place
